Vishal Swamy was born on April 30th, 2005 in San Jose, California. Vishal spent his first 7 years in San Jose where he attended Kindergarten and 1st grade.  Then the family moved to the San Diego area where Vishal currently resides.
Vishal started singing at the age of 7.  He would often sing nursery rhymes and songs he found interesting.  Some of the early recordings on Youtube are of Vishal singing when he was only 8 or 9.  As his dad was singing and playing songs from Elvis, Vishal found the songs interesting due to catchy melodies and started singing them too.
After a few youtube videos, Vishal participated in a school talent show where he sung Follow that Dream by Elvis Presley at the age of 11.  This was Vishal's first public appearance.  After this point, Vishal started playing small gigs at coffee shops with Vishal's dad on guitar.
The first gig at Zebra House Coffee in San Clemente went well and Vishal had a great reception.  3 songs were performed.  The entire performance can be seen in the show section that has a link to the show.
Vishal continued to play a few more coffee shop gigs and then around Christmas time he played a big 20 minute set at the Sunset market in Oceanside.  This was a wild and crazy gig because two people got removed by the cops.  This was also the the first time Vishal performed to a much bigger crowd with a longer setlist.  Due to the holidays, a seasonal Christmas song was performed which was, Here comes Santa Claus.
Having played 6 shows in 2017 without counting the school performance that started it all, Vishal went on a mini tour to the bay area in January of 2018.  He kicked off the first show of the New Year by playing an electric show at the Art Boutique in San Jose, Ca.  The crowd was so welcoming that nearly everyone was singing along to the chorus of Country Roads.
In the Spring of 2018, a new website was launched that serves as a central hub that shows the latest information as well as social media sites such as Youtube, Instagram and Facebook.  Vishal continues to look for opportunities to play more live gigs.
